Care is There Geriatric Care Management
Community Resource Coordinator; 2011 – Current
Care is There is a geriatric care management company based in Charlottesville, Virginia. As the Community Resource Coordinator, I am responsible for website management (updating pages and posting content, including blogs), email newsletter creation and event marketing preparation. I do, on occasion, write articles and website content as needed. Every piece I write myself follows the branding and structure set out by owner and founder, Elizabeth Swider.

CampusWell
Editor; 2021 – 2024
CampusWell is a health and wellness website for university and college students in the US and Canada. They provide weekly science- and expert-backed articles that span the “seven dimensions of wellness.” I worked with the editorial team to plan out the editorial calendar, prepare and send assignments to writers, edit the articles as they come in, and proofread the articles once they’re designed. In addition, we worked on content to market and promote these articles to the client schools’ students—email content, social media posts, video content, etc. Finally, I helped write and prepare SOPs, improve project processes within the Edit team and beyond, and provided guides so the company could move forward smoothly.
Start Fierce Business Solutions
Blog and Article Writer; 2021 – 2023
Start Fierce is a marketing and business consulting company that helps a variety of clients improve their online presence. I work with Cindy to create content for each client that matches their brand, voice and tone, while also engaging their target audience and prompting them to take the desired action.
Culips
Study Guide Writer; 2019 – 2022
Culips is an ESL podcast that helps people around the world improve their English language skills. I take their podcast episode transcripts and prepare study guides. Each study guide includes six terms, defined in a clear, easy to understand way, as well as a few study questions.
Quench Magazine
Managing Editor; 2011 – 2020
Quench Magazine is a national food and drink magazine based in Montreal, Quebec. I started back in 2011 as a journalist, writing articles for their website and magazine. Over time, I grew within the company to wear several hats:
- Proof reading each issue before it goes to print
- Managing Social Media campaigns
- Scheduling website content
- Writing and editing articles for the website and print magazine
